This online docketing & ticket payment system is provided as a service to the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court to allow individuals to:

• admit guilt and pay eligible waiverable citations;
• make payments toward approved payment plans on their case; or
• search public court records made available through this website from the Court Records Management System.

Prohibited Use

Users may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, or use the website for any unlawful purpose. The Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court and The Baldwin Group, Inc. (“BGI”) reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in response to suspected misuse or security threats.

Information made available through this website is provided solely for lawful informational purposes. Users may not use information obtained from this website for unlawful, fraudulent, commercial solicitation, harassment, identity theft, or any purpose prohibited by applicable law.

Privacy

As defined by Ohio law, all of the case information available to view on this site is considered public record. This information is uploaded directly from the Court Records Management System. While reasonable efforts are made to keep this information current and accurate, its completeness, accuracy, and timeliness cannot be guaranteed. Personal and financial information submitted through this website will be collected, used, retained, and disclosed only as necessary to administer the Court Records Management System, provide payment services, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise authorized or required by law.

Website Provider

This website and online docketing & ticket payment system have been developed by and are maintained by BGI for use by the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court. BGI owns the software system and related technology used to provide this service unless otherwise provided by agreement. BGI provides and maintains the online docketing & ticket payment system but does not maintain the data entry or interpret applicable traffic or criminal laws.

Individual information submitted through this website remains under the control of the individual and/or the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court as provided by applicable law. BGI claims no ownership interest in the information or other data submitted through this website except as necessary to host, process, maintain, back up, or otherwise provide services on behalf of Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court.

Acceptance of an electronic submission does not constitute verification or approval of the information submitted. The Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court reserves the right to review, audit, request additional documentation, and make adjustments as permitted by applicable law.

BGI is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the online docketing & ticket payment system but is not liable for losses resulting from inaccurate information entered by users, failures of third-party services, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Intellectual Property

The website, software, design, logos, graphics, and related content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as necessary to use this website for its intended purpose, no portion of the website may be copied, modified, distributed, or reverse engineered without prior written permission from BGI.

Security

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) retrieved from the Court Records Management System is limited to the information necessary to identify the applicable case or citation and facilitate authorized payment processing. Social Security and Driver’s License numbers are excluded in all uploads from the Court Records Management System.

All court record information is protected during transmission and while stored using encryption technologies and security protocols consistent with current industry standards. Data is hosted in a professionally managed, physically secure environment with continuous monitoring, firewalls, and other administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. While reasonable measures are taken to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Sensitive payment card information is processed by authorized third-party payment processors and is not stored within this website or the Court Records Management System.

User Security

You are responsible for maintaining and ensuring that your computer or device is reasonably protected from malware, unauthorized access, or other security threats. The Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court and BGI are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your login credentials or device.

Payment Processing

Electronic payments are processed through authorized third-party payment providers used by BGI and selected by the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court. While payment confirmations are provided when available, neither the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court nor BGI is responsible for delays, errors, interruptions, or failures attributable to financial institutions, payment processors, card issuers, or other third-party service providers. Payment processing fees, if any, are established by the applicable payment processor or the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court and will be disclosed prior to payment authorization. Submission of payment does not automatically satisfy any legal obligation until the payment has been successfully processed and accepted by the Court.

Availability

The website may be unavailable from time to time due to scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues. Neither the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court nor BGI guarantees continuous availability of the service. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice. The website may be suspended temporarily without notice in the event of security incidents, system maintenance, or other circumstances requiring immediate action to protect the integrity of the system.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the Middleburg Heights Mayor’s Court nor BGI shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website, including but not limited to interruptions in service, data loss, system failures, or user-entered errors.
